DIEGO BECAS

Diego Becas is an illustrator, designer and artist specializing in the creation of book covers and posters for cultural activities. He has developed his career, mainly, in the European publishing market.

His images are evocative and conceptual: they scream, whisper or remain silent.
Its visual approach is deeply conceptual: the concept is the soul of the image and the graphic style the breath that gives it life.

Diego interprets the world using analogical techniques and materials such as printmaking, cut paper, wood, ink, watercolor, acrylic and stencil. He assembles small objects to create allegorical stages, creating hand lettering and uses a reduced color palette. The results are expressive visual metaphors rich in meaning and textures.
Diego doesn't use artificial intelligence. He uses artisanal intelligence.

Trained as a designer he develops projects in an integral way from an authorial perspective. Creating the concept, storytelling, illustration and final design of the piece.

He has made 9 solo poster exhibitions and participated in 30 collective exhibitions around the world.

His works have been exhibited in prestigious cultural spaces such as the Musée des Arts Décoratifs in Paris (Musée du Louvre), Victoria and Albert Museum and Somerset House, both in London, Retrovangarda Gallery in Warsaw and 3sec Gallery in the Netherlands, among others.
